LOVEBANK
LOVEBANK is a resource bank of services and practical skills. It is designed as a conduit, co-ordinating the connection of the giver to those in genuine need who are currently financially unable to access a service.
How it works?
1. A person can register their intent to donate a particular skill or services by filling out a deposit slip.
2. A member of the LOVEBANK committee will contact them to clarify the details of the gift, which is then registered in the LOVEBANK
3. People unable to afford a service they are in need of can apply to the LOVEBANK by filling out a withdrawal slip.
4. Deposit and withdrawal slips can be handed in to the information desk at any LIFE service or posted to Sheryl Garden c/-LIFE P.O. Box 108138, Symonds St, Auckland 1150. A LOVEBANK committee member will contact both parties to facilitate the connection process.
What can be donated?
Anything from meals, good quality secondhand baby clothing and furniture, gardening, babysitting, budgeting assistance, building, plumbing, medical, dental, legal or any other professional or practical service. Wherever a person feels they could offer assistance to someone in need.
