One of the focuses of LIFE Business is to connect business minded people with one another. This has enabled people, at times, within the church to work with and for one another in the developing of new and exciting business opportunities. With this in mind LIFE Business has developed these guidelines to make sure that when we deal with each other in a business context, we do so with integrity, honesty, respect and understanding. We also want to make sure that people feel free to participate in “LIFE” events and so, therefore, want it understood that it is inappropriate to approach anyone outside of an existing personal relationship with the intention of making financial gain or to sell or promote products or services. This specifically includes distribution of unsolicited advertising material, invitations, e-mail messages and/or phone calls for the purposes of soliciting business, party-plan selling, multi-level marketing and network marketing. We want to encourage our business people to give of their time and experience to one another, but those resources need to be freely given. If someone within the church offers you professional advice, you should always proceed with a clear understanding as to whether this advice is a gift or will involve appropriate remuneration for their time. Do not take offence if you approach someone for help and they decline as this is their and also your right as part of LIFE Business. Again while professional advisers within LIFE may be happy to give you informal advice, you should not assume you can rely on this advice unless you have formally engaged them. From time to time, LIFE Business may invite people to speak at events or contribute content to our website, this does not mean that LIFE is endorsing the businesses that these people represent, or recommending that you utilise them. You should always make your own decisions about who to take advice from, and who to do business with. LIFE Business hopes to make available a range of resources that will be useful to our business people and we will do our utmost to make sure these resources are practical, accurate and up-to-date. However, they may not be suitable for your particular situation, and you should always take advice before committing yourself in respect of any of your business decisions. We are committed to create an environment of value and room for our business people to foster the relationships they feel comfortable with and help unlock their God given potential. We look forward to you joining us in LIFE Business. |
