A Recipe for Success

What is success? In my mind that depends on what is in your heart. I think it is somewhere in the vicinity of discovering and being the best you, you can be – that might be a business owner, doctor, a builder, a parent or teacher. I’m not big on mountain climbing, conquering Everest is not one of my success goals, it might be yours. What is in your heart to be and do, to succeed in?
Here are a few scriptures I found (I’m sure there are more) that I believe make up ingredients for success in life, whether work, family, business or relationships. What do you reckon?
Full Ingredients and Recipe
Psalm 37:4
Do what the Lord wants, and he will give you what your heart desires.
2 Kings 18:6-7
He (King Hezekiah) held fast to the Lord and did not cease to follow him, he kept the commands the Lord had given him. And the Lord was with him, he was successful in whatever he undertook.
Joshua 1:6-9
Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you, do not turn from it to the left or the right, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let the book of this law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
1 Chronicles 20:13
If you obey all the laws which the LORD gave to Moses for Israel, you will be successful. Be determined and confident, and don’t let anything make you afraid.
