God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not. Numbers 23:19
Thought
The Word is trustworthy because it comes from God. It can be proven - there is no need to blindly believe. But the Bible is not just trustworthy because it is true. It is trustworthy because it is God’s Word. It is His voice preserved on that page. And since it comes from God, it carries His nature, which is truth. The Word cannot lie because it comes from the Father of truth itself. If God cannot lie then neither can His Word. Be encouraged today that the Bible is the firm foundation on which we can stand. It is our measure by which we assess the things of this world.
Ponder
Have you been challenged in accepting the veracity of the Bible? Consider talking to God about this today and letting Him speak to your heart and affirm your faith. We wouldn’t have faith without God so He is the best source of confirmation for our belief.
Pray
Father God, thank You that I can trust You. You are the Father of all truth. You are the measuring stick by which I can interpret the world. I pray that You would speak to me through Your Word and expose any lies I am believing right now. Show me Your truth and renew my mind according to scripture. Make me new, Lord. When I doubt, build up my faith through a deep awareness of Your indwelling Spirit. Thank You Lord that I can depend on Your strength to affirm and guide me when I am weary. I love You. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
