Day 7 • Your Next Steps
Transcript:
By now, I hope you have had an opportunity to understand some of the fundamental keys to a life as a Christian. I know God wants to do far more in and through than you could imagine. I want to encourage you to keep reading God’s Word as much as possible, pray at all times and experience the wonder of God’s Spirit living in you and working through you.
So what’s next?
I am a big believer in having an activated faith, a commitment to moving forward. The next best thing to do is plant yourself in a community of people that help encourage and challenge you in your faith. Alpha groups are a great way to help unpack the decision you just made with other’s like you!
Why don’t you check these out on here.
We all have a desire to be known. Even though this can be difficult in a larger crowd on a Sunday, a small group is a fun and effective environment where you can get to know others. I believe that genuine life change takes place through authentic relationship. Why not get involved in a group now? Again, you can go here to find one that’s right for you.
As well as wanting to be known, I believe every human being has a desire to be needed and to make a difference. This is where activating the gifts God has given you and serving the local church becomes so important.
Maybe you had a moment where you stepped foot into a church and it was someone else’s commitment to build a house for you that helped you discover a home. I am so grateful for those who sacrificed to create room for me to find home in our church.
Whatever your background may be, whether you feel qualified or not, God has a plan and a purpose for your life. As God puts it in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
So that about sums it up! I want to take a moment to remind you – you are doing great. A life in Christ is not a perfect life, but rather a life that will go from strength to strength because God is living on the inside of you.
Be encouraged, God is for you!
