There is not much in the world that we can trust. Only God can be fully depended upon to be good and to stay good forever and always. There is enormous security in that but resting fully in that promise requires faith and a surrender of the other crutches we use to prop ourselves up. However, the reward of such radical faith is enormous. When we fully lean on God, and seek Him in His Word, then we give Him the opportunity to show us just how good and trustworthy He is. While everything we see right now will one day disappear, our God will stand forever and His Word will remain true.
