At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus emphasises that true righteousness should begin in the heart and be only for the notice of God. In that way, it becomes an expression of true faith in God's Word. When God is our rock, we cannot be swept away - we are anchored to a firm foundation that stands sure in every storm. His Word is our refuge, our safe place. Scripture is the standard for truth and the gateway to intimacy with God.

Dear Father, I want to do Your will and be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer. I ask that You would come into my heart and let me find hope and security in Your promises. In every season, in every hardship, in every joy and in every success, let me keep my eyes on You. Let me be diligent in seeking You every day, in every way, as I go about my business. I ask You to speak to my heart, Lord, and show me Your ways so that I would be brought into deeper relationship with You. Thank you Father God. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
